Maria Wilkes, on the way to Miss Universe
English language teacher Maria Wilkes will represent her country at this year's Miss Universe beauty contest. Wilkes is also an Instagram phenomenon.
The 26-year-old teacher, who teaches French, German and Spanish, has been ranked number one in the British elections held in July last year, leaving behind 40 different styles.
Wilkes, who likes to take part in social responsibility projects, also joined the run for a charity that was set up for children with bone disease.In addition, Wilkes is also actively involved in another civil society association that helps women who are burned with acid to revenge in India.
